Feeding Quantity
- Cows: 1 kg D40 for every 2.5 litres of milk per day

Do’s & Don’ts
DO’s (What to Do)
- Mix concentrate feed properly with fodder
- Ensure clean and fresh drinking water at all times
- Feed balanced ration as per milk yield (D30 / D35 / D40)
- Follow regular milking schedule – same time every day
- Clean teats before and after milking
- Maintain balance of green fodder, dry fodder, silage and concentrate
- Provide clean, comfortable resting space
- Act immediately if signs of illness appear (low appetite, reduced milk, dullness)
DON’Ts (What Not to Do)
- Do not feed dirty or stale fodder
- Do not change feed suddenly
- Do not keep lactating animals hungry
- Do not touch teats with dirty hands or cloth
- Do not ignore sick animals
- Do not overfeed or underfeed concentrate
